Slow progress

Progress on the onevia has been slow… mainly due to lack of funds which at times leads to lack of motivation, but its coming along pretty damn well now. The engine is in, gearbox bought and the start of the exhaust is done. by this weekend it should be running and a few weeks after that, fingers crossed, it will be driving. by “driving” i mean the engine will move the car… it will still not be ready for the abuse of drift but it will be bloody close.

So much to do, So little money.

So much that needs to be done and put into this and i actually have no money… this is a struggle, and will be a struggle for a while still, but i will push on and get it done. just wish it was as easy for me as it is for others.

That feeling of wanting something so bad and it always being just out of reach is begining to get old. I need this, soon!

Sometimes life throws you a curve ball.

So a few weeks ago i sold my R32, It was not what i wanted at all but it needed to be done to steady my financial situation… But inturn it made me take a different look at what i need to drift. Sure it be nice to have a built car with a nice mod list like the 32 would have ended up like, Heck it would have been awesome. Its not a very cost effective way of going about building a car on a low budget however.

So in the meantime i have picked up an s13 shell… well its not a shell at the moment but i am taking the engine out and returning it to the previous owner, not to worry though as i have another SR to take its place. Now this S13 minus engine and driveline has cost me 700 big ones, and i am planing on sticking to this low budget on the rest of the car by only installing the bare essentials to start with… I’m aiming to hit as many drift days this year as possible once its running.

Oh yea she is going to be made into a onevia aswell and will be scraping rails. Heres to getting it done reasonably quick and getting in as much time behind the wheel as possible.

This is my old girl, so many good times and memories had in this car… It’d be a lie if i said i didnt miss it. Was actualy considering selling the r32 to buy and build another s12 again but decided against it, i will have another one… soon enough.

Was hoping to get some work done on the 32 tonight but looks like the weather has other plans. Cant even go for a wet weather skid as the s12 isnt working yet either…

Hello world!

WOW a blog, well its my first one. Pretty much just going to be a place to dump all my happenings. Main focus will be on my drifting and my r32 that I am currently building in my backyard, it pretty much consumes me, my time and my hard earned. its the only thing that has given me the same feeling in life that BMX brings me… it cant be described, its just one of those things you either get or you sit back and scratch your head trying to fathom why all this time, effort and money is put into an object that is built to be… well thrashed essentially.

Not too sure how much structure this blog will have but ill try keep it updated as best as possible… check back if you see anything you like.
